if you exported the 3DS file to max
but great deisgn il ove this approach

I'm not too happy with the angle either. Why would I want to export it to 3DS? It's made in sketchup so I rendered it in Maxwell 4 Sketchup, I just put the fov to 75 so you could see more.

if you export the sketchup file in 3DS format to max you will be able to render it with more details and parametres in render with vray or maxwell as well

it's just a suggestion because i work like this way i dont like the renders of the sketchup plugins you haven't enough parametres

for the camera with 3ds max you can ajust the camera settings more detailed than you did

Maxwell has the same parameters in other programs. Vray has more parameters in max, that's true. But in Sketchup it's only very limited with the materials, the render settings are almost the same.
